The FX Plus measures 4.7 by 2.4 by .6 inches (HWD) and weighs 5.3 ounces. Made entirely of black plastic, it feels solid, though it looks somewhat generic. Sharp introduced a new 3G mobile internet device (MID). This folding machine with a 5-inch touch screen and QWERTY-keyboard, it is intended for the Japanese operator KDDI. Model supports cellular CDMA 1x/EV-DO Rev. A and running Android. And it was built on a platform of Qualcomm Snapdragon.

Sharp NetWalker PC-T1: 5-inch MID with Ubuntu

Sharp NetWalker PC-T1 is a MID device of 5-inch touchscreen with the resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. It’s hardware uses a Freescale processor i.MX515 800 MHz ARM Cortex-A8 architecture-based processor, 512 MB RAM, 8 GB of flash memory expandable with microSD memory cards, USB, Bluetooth connectivity and WiFi 802.11b / g.

The Ubuntu 9.04 OS is overlaid with a custom Sharp interface. Preloaded apps include FireFox, Thunderbird and OpenOffice. The device will read XMDF format books, with 101 e-books pre-installed. The device measures 150 × 90 × 21.3 mm, weighs 280 g and has a battery life of 6 hours. The PC-T1 will be on sale in Japan from next month for ¥ 47,000, about 380 €.

Sharp has announced 4 new LX-Series Full HD TVs: LC-40LX1 40-inch, LC-46LX1 46-inch, LC-52LX1, 52-inch and 60 inch LC-60LX1, all with LED backlight and by contrast 2.ooo.ooo: 1. With 1920p resolution, audio system with 6 speakers and two sub-woofers (except for 40-inch), the new Sharp televisions promise visions of high quality.

Sharp NetWalker PC-Z1 MID – Little Genius

Sharp NetWalker PC-Z1 MID is one of the most interesting MID never presented. The little genius Sharp NetWalker PC-Z1 MID that opens to a book revealing both 5-inch touchscreen display has a small but full QWERTY keyboard.

Unlike fellow UMID, Sharp NetWalker is not based on Windows XP operating system but rather on Ubuntu Linux. The touch screen to a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels, the processor is a 800MHz Freescale i.MX515, we find 4GB flash memory and 512MB of Ram.

Sharp NetWalker PC-Z1 5-inch UMPC uses Ubuntu Linux 9.04 as its platform. Processing is handled by Freescale’s i.MX515 800MHz CPU, there is 512MB of RAM and just 4GB of internal memory, though a microSDHC memory card slot lets users expand it by another 16GB. Users interact through a 5-inch, 1024×600 resolution touchscreen and the device is also light at under 1lb.

The very small form factor makes the device ultra-portable, while a built-in Wi-Fi connection lets them access the Internet from these remote locations. The NetWalker can boot into a quick launch screen in about 3 seconds, allowing users to quickly check e-mails and perform other low-key tasks. There are 68 keys on the UMPC’s tightly packed keyboard, and Sharp claims a 10-hour battery life.

Sharp reportedly has plans to create content specifically for the PC-Z1, including language and other dictionaries, novels and comic books. With the NetWalker, Sharp is hoping to create a new market, straddling the fence between notebooks and smartphones. The NetWalker will ship in Japan on September 25th, with prices not yet announced. A US release of the UMPC isn’t expected until sometime in September 2010. It will be available in white, black and red.

Sharp Aquos HDTV E77 and LE700 Series

Sharp has presented four new models of HDTV with LED backlight: the LC-52LE700UN by 52 inches, the LC-46LE700UN by 46 inches, the LC-40LE700UN from 40 inches el’LC-32LE700UN by 32 inches. Also announced were two other models, from 60 to 65 inches, the LC-60E77UN el’LC-65E77UM.

All models in the series LE700 with LED technology are equipped with the new Gen-X Panel, which should allow a good quality of vision and depth of blacks, the LED technology UltraBrilliant should ensure brightness and contrast levels extremely high and that the Fine Motion Enhanced technology provides a response time of 4ms.

Sharp RD-PM10 Multimedia Electronic Dictionary: The device is featuring Da Vinci TMS320DM6441 processor, an FM radio tuner, a voice recorder and a pair of stereo speakers into its 5.5- by 3.1- by 1.0-inch form factor. e-Dictionary comes with a 4.3-inch touchscreen display and 8GB built-in storage.

The operating system is Windows CE 5.0. Preloaded software includes 128 dictionaries. Supported file formats include MP3, WMA, ASF, and WAV for audio and XviD, DivX and OGG for video. Power for the setup comes from a 3,500mAh lithium-polymer battery.
