Virgin Mobile is entering the personal hot spot fray and offering the new router MiFi 2200. A person can have up to five Wi-Fi devices hooked up to it, all of them gaining access to Virgin’s 3G network simultaneously. It holds the distinction of being the first US-based prepaid plan available for the pocket router.

Huawei has launched the new E585 model, a 3G pocket router that allow to use their 3G connection to create a WiFi network to share with five devices simultaneously. Equipped with a monochrome OLED display allows you to read all the navigational information, such as traffic, 3G signal and battery status. Autonomy should arrive in four hours and has an input for microSD to share files online. The Huawei E585 will be available from next month subscription for $74.

NetGear has recently announced its new RangeMax dual band 802.11 Wi-Fi router called RangeMax WNDR3700. Router has eight internal antennas. Router handles as much as 350Mbps in real-world conditions. It is the first NetGear product with its own broadband usage meter to track consumption across the entire network when using providers with low bandwidth caps, like Rogers or Time Warner Cable.
