Sony S1 Gaming Tablet – PlayStation Certified

Sony S1 Tablet PC is the another PlayStation certified device after Sony Ericsson Xperia Play presented at Mobile World Congress 2011. The Sony S1 has 9.4″ diagonal display with capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels and it is running on Android OS Honeycomb.

Sony S1 mount the Nvidia Tegra processor dual 2 core, rear camera with sound recording Full HD 1080p, front camera, USB port, GPS, Wi-Fi Certified and Playstation support. The tablet is slated to release sometime in September 2011 and will come with a price tag of $599.

Sony Ericsson presented it’s first playstation phone at Mobile World Congress 2011, the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play based on Google Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). Sony Ericsson Xperia Play is aimed to users who need the traditional functions of smartphones with advanced gaming features. Release of Sony Ericsson Xperia Play is scheduled for March 2011. Will have two colors black and white. Price will be announced later.

After NVIDIA introduced the concept of 3D PC, CyberPower company announced an expansion of range of their gaming PCs and release two models. There are two kind of series the Gamer Xtreme series and the Gamer Ultra series. All ship with a 22-inch Samsung 3D LCD and 3D Vision stereoscopic glasses. The systems are powered by AMD’s Phenom II or else Intel’s Core i5 or Core i7 processors.

Every one of the systems has an NVIDIA GTS- or GTX-series graphics card, with dedicated RAM ranging from 896MB to 1.5GB. Prices for the standard 3D systems range from $1,289 to $2,999.

Asus demonstrates it’s most powerful gaming desktop ROG CG8490 at Computex 2010. This desktop computer used extreme processor Intel Core i7-980X, with six cores, frequency 3.33 GHz and supports Turbo Boost Technology and Hyper-Threading. The amount of RAM in the standard configuration is 12 GB capacity storage subsystem – 2 TB.

In the desktop by installing two graphics accelerator ATI Radeon HD 5870 operating in the mode of CrossFireX. Adapters are equipped with 1 GB of GDDR5 memory and initially dispersed in the factory. Supported system Eyefinity, providing simultaneous output to multiple monitors.

MSI introduced the GT660 – its most powerful notebook ever. This 16-inch gaming notebook has Intel Core i7-720QM processor and Windows 7 Home Premium and Ultimate operating system. RAM MSI GT660 up to 12 GB, and for the graphics card uses a discrete NVIDIA GeForce GTX 285M with 1 GB of video memory.

To store files on your notebook it provides up to two hard drives totaling 1.2 terabytes. There is also an optical drive DVD or Blu-ray, Gigabit Ethernet, Wi-Fi 802.11 b / g / n, Bluetooth (optional), card reader 4-in-1, 1,3 Mp web camera, USB 3.0 port and HDMI.

Sony PSP Go – The New Gaming Gadget

Sony presents the new gaming device called PSP Go, an handheld portable gaming device. The PSP Go is smaller in size of compared to the PSP 3000 and the UMD Drive has been replaced by a 16GB Hard Drive. The games and other content can either be downloaded online via the Playstation Store or from the computer.

Sony PSP Go supports M2 Micro Memory cards which are expandable up to 16GB. It has Bluetooth feature and the main buttons are hidden under the sliding screen. Although the screen size is smaller i.e. 3.8 inches, it still supports the same 480 x 272 resolution.

The D Pad and the operational buttons are put more tightly together and L and R shoulder buttons are much more prominent. The analog key has been moved to the right of the D Pad which feels a little awkward. The controls are now tucked away via a new sliding mechanism and they feel remarkably sturdy.

The battery is no longer removable but unfortunately that is the only upgrade to the battery. It serves the same amount of battery life as the PSP 3000. Old accessories like the transfer USB cable, GPS receiver, etc don’t work on the PSP Go.

The PSP Go is remarkably sturdier and lighter than the PSP 3000. There is not a noticeable difference between the game performance. Sony plans to release smaller games called “PSP Minis” which are going to be much less expensive too. Not all games are available on the PSP Go but they are slowly being released. PSP Go is available for around Rs. 12,500 in the Indian market.
