The Aspire AS5250-BZ853 comes in a mute gray, plastic chassis with nothing more than the Acer logo adorning its lid. This notebook measures 1.34 inches thin, 15 inches wide and 10 inches deep. The L4610G-Ui5240W measures only about 10 by 2.5 by 8 inches (HWD), which means this silver-and-black system should fit into just about any cube farm or even a mobile office. One of the reasons it saves so much space is that it uses an external power brick, though this can be an unwieldy solution. Luckily, the system has few other design flaws.

Acer isn’t a king of industrial design, and the Iconia Tab A100 is a bit of a clunker when it comes to looks. That’s OK though; this tablet has a lot of other things going for it. The Iconia Tab A100 is a 7.7-by-4.6-by-0.5-inch (HWD), 13.9-ounce tablet made of shiny plastic with a cheap-looking silver design on its blue-gray back. Both the front and back feel a little greasy, and tend to attract fingerprints. The tablet has a standard 3.5-mm headphone jack, Volume buttons, an Orientation Lock switch, a Power button, and a bunch of ports on the bottom. It charges from a proprietary adapter rather than a standard micro USB connection, but it also has a micro USB port to connect to PCs, and a micro HDMI port to hook the tablet up to an HDTV.

The 4743Z-4861 has a fairly average selection of ports for a budget laptop. Three USB 2.0 and headphone and microphone jacks are part of the usual fodder, VGA and HDMI outputs are good for connecting to an external monitor or HDTV, and the usual Ethernet port and 802.11n Wi-Fi will jack you into the Internet. Acer presents the two new notebooks, the Aspire 8950G and Aspire 5950G designed for graphics performance with the AMD GPU HD 6650M with 1 GB of RAM dedicated or AMD HD 6850M 2 GB. Adding the Intel Core i7 and DDR3 RAM type ingredients, the result is a laptop that will not make us regret the desktop when we play or where we need to edit HD video files.

In addition to assembly, the high-definition video and computer games you can enjoy the best thanks to display Full HD or HD output and Dolby 5.1 for five or outdoor speakers. At the bottom of the notebook, also, we find the integrated subwoofer that complements the 5.1. Acer Stream smartphone is very similar to the HTC Desire and Google Nexus One and, in some ways, even to the Samsung Galaxy S. The Stream has a 3.7-inch AMOLED display, the 1 GHz Snapdragon processor, a 5MP camera with 720p HD video recording and all the usual radios, such as WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth and HSDPA. Also quite thin at 11.2mm. Unlike its rivals though, it features dedicated music keys. The Acer Stream is priced at $600.

Acer has just introduced its new line of PC monitors, Acer S1. Acer has managed to make some screens with a very small thickness, comes to a depth of between 13 and 15 mm depending on model. The monitors range from 18.5 to 23 inches with a response time of 5 ms and they carry a reduced energy consumption.

All Acer S1 new line offers 16:9 Full HD resolution, 1920 x 1080 pixels, and come with a dynamic contrast ratio, no less than 12.000.000:1. The company Acer has integrated fully into the same connectivity, being able to connect PCs with VGA and DVI plus external devices via the HDMI port. Prices of the new line start at $ 184.
