BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8230 Smartphone including a 2-megapixel camera, 240×320 pixel LCD internal display in addition to an external display, and a SureType QWERTY keyboard. The provider will offer the handset in pink and black, which has the same specs as other Flip 8230s.
The 8230 supports downloads from BlackBerry App World and can navigate to destinations thanks to its integrated GPS sensor and BlackBerry Maps. Storage comes via a microSDHC memory card slot for as much as 16GB of memory. A2DP/AVRCP Bluetooth support lets users talk wirelessly on compatible headsets or listen to music, while a 3.5mm headset jack offers a wired option.
Cellular South prices the 8230 at $100 after a mail-in rebate and on a new two-year contract that includes a data plan. Cellular South’s smartphone plans start at $50 per month.
