Neutrano Nutec WristFone Touchscreen Gadget: Neutrano is showing off two versions of the gadget in private sessions at the show, one in leather and plastic as well as a stainless steel version. For the most part, the feature set is the same, and includes a color LCD touchscreen display, a built-in speaker and microphone and GSM network compatibility via a slot for a SIM card under the battery. Text and multimedia messaging is likewise supported.

The touchscreen device combines the functionality of a phone, camera music player and wrist watch, says company president Gary Rotman. Rotman adds the biggest challenge the company faced was making it less awkward to talk into a device while it’s worn on the wrist, but overcame it by developing the first detachable cell phone watch; users can remove the display face to take a call. Bluetooth support also makes it possible to pair the device with a compatible headset for communications.
A 2-megapixel camera is built-in, as is an FM radio tuner and multimedia player functionality. Onboard storage is set at 512MB, and a 1GB microSD card is included to slot into the bay. The lithium-ion battery is rated to provide up to four hours of talk time on a full charge. Mini scheduling and productivity applications are built-in and nine languages are supported. The Nutec WristFone is expected to launch on June 15th, priced at about $399.
