Dell Latitude 2100 Series Educational Laptop: Its focus would be on the educational market and would involve bright color schemes like “Red Apple” and “School Bus Orange.” It may also add a touchscreen that hasn’t been present on any previous Dell netbook.

While the design would be unique, its specs would largely be similar to a higher-end Inspiron Mini 10 with a 10-inch display, 1.6GHz Atom, 1GB of RAM, 802.11n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Upgrade choices would be broader, however, and would allow a choice of either a rotating hard drive or an SSD for storage in addition to as much as 2GB of memory and a 6-cell battery pack. If authentic, the 2100 would be ready as early as May and kept “under $600.”
