Lenovo IdeaCenter A600 All-In-One PC: The A600 is billed as a home entertainment computer and comes with a rare motion-sensitive remote similar to the Nintendo Wii remote or Gyration offerings: users can play games or otherwise control the onscreen cursor by gesturing at the PC rather than using a directional pad or mousing on a flat surface. Besides the remote, the A600 comes with a wireless mouse and a unique keyboard that includes a full-sized trackpad for navigating from the couch.

The new IdeaCenter is also built directly with home theater in mind and ships with a Dolby-certified 2.1-channel sound system integrated into its chin and Windows Media Center functions as part of the remote; Blu-ray and a TV tuner are both optional. The design is claimed to be the thinnest all-in-one yet and measures one inch thick at its slimmest point while still fitting a 21.5-inch, 1080p native display with a more cinematic 16:9 ratio.

Systems will arrive in the US with a $999 base price; Lenovo hasn’t provided detailed specifications but promises Centrino 2-era Core 2 Duo processors, Wi-Fi and a webcam as stock features. Options should involve an unnamed ATI Radeon HD dedicated video card with 512MB of memory, as much as 4GB of DDR3 memory and as much as 1TB of hard drive space. Lenovo ships the first examples in April.

Iomega Home Media Network Hard Drive: The drive is a form of network-attached storage, meant primarily for sharing music, photos and video between computers, TVs, and game consoles such as the Xbox 360. It connects to an existing router via gigabit Ethernet, and unlike similar devices, relies on a custom version of Linux to serve Mac and Linux computers as well as Windows-based ones. Users can stream media via iTunes, UPnP and DLNA formats.

The drive can additionally be treated as a simple backup drive using included software, and expanded via a USB port which supports either printers or external hard drives. 500GB and 1TB models will be available, at costs of $160 and $230; these will also come with a free subscription to the online MozyHome backup service, though holding more than 2GB costs $5 per month.

The Wind NetOn (shown) competes against ASUS’ Eee Top and also described as one of the fastest; in the US-specific AE1901 model, the 19-inch system will come with a dual-core 1.6GHz Atom that should significantly improve performance while keeping power use down to just 50W. IT and the other 16- and 22-inch systems have yet to receive full details but should come with 16:9 ratio, 1366×768 touchscreens (1920×1080 in the 22-inch version) that simplify their respective interfaces. Both the 19- and 22-inch versions should use Windows Vista; the 22-inch model is also likely to carry Blu-ray, while all three have the option of Wi-Fi for short-range networking. The PC maker hasn’t revealed availability but is believed to be shipping the 19-inch Wind NetOn this month for $499, while the 16-inch version sells for $399 in February and the 22-inch model in March for $799.

Swift Point Slider fits around the thumb and is claimed to fulfill all functions of the mouse. It is however doubtful that this slider will be able to replace a standard mouse. If it does, you’ll have to hit the space button with you forefinger or your long finger which will remind of playing the piano rather than typing.

“I-T” Click, Click is controlled with the index finger and again - the thumb. The upper button is supposed to function as the left key and the left one - as the right key, which is indeed confusing. Besides, it is so small that a poodle can swallow it.

Conclusion: “small” does not always go side-by-side with “sensible” or “convenient”. Small cars do not survive in accidents, tiny cell-phones have buttons that only Thumbelina can push, and thin laptops can be accidentally thrown out with a pile of old magazines.

MS USBee Flash Drive is a concept created with the view of preventing losing important information by a careless move that can destroy any thumb drive sticking out of the usb port. This usb flash drive is supposed to have an elastic neck to be able to bend in any direction, and quite surprisingly it has something that you wouldn’t expect a flash drive to have - a cooling system. The design itself is very nice, it probably should be sold with the following warning on the label: “Keep away from children, can be taken for a toy”.

The very wide screen resolution indicates that the VAIO P is most likely a long 9.5 x 4.5-inch mini-notebook that has been recently tested by FCC. The device features Bluetooth, 802.11n WiFi, and mobile broadband support, according to FCC’s tests. We have no information on pricing and availability date at the time of this writing.
