Asus demonstrates it’s most powerful gaming desktop ROG CG8490 at Computex 2010. This desktop computer used extreme processor Intel Core i7-980X, with six cores, frequency 3.33 GHz and supports Turbo Boost Technology and Hyper-Threading. The amount of RAM in the standard configuration is 12 GB capacity storage subsystem – 2 TB.
In the desktop by installing two graphics accelerator ATI Radeon HD 5870 operating in the mode of CrossFireX. Adapters are equipped with 1 GB of GDDR5 memory and initially dispersed in the factory. Supported system Eyefinity, providing simultaneous output to multiple monitors.
Along with the graphics cards ASUS has taken care of raids on other parts of the computer that allegedly provides a performance gain of up to 20% compared with systems using the same components with reference design frequencies. Terms CG8490 desktop appearance in the sale and its estimated value is not specified.
