VholdR ContourHD Wearable HD Camcorder: The water-resistant ContourHD can be attached to goggles or a helmet and shoot 720p HD video at 30 frames per second or standard-definition video at 60fps. Aimed at individuals who are into extreme sports or other sports activities where users want to record their point of view but do not have a free hand to hold a camera.
Up to 8 hours of HD video can be recorded on a 16GB microSD card, while power comes from removable lithium-ion batteries. There is one button to start recordings, and a pair of lasers help user square the image through the camera’s 192 degrees of rotation. A microphone is built in as well. The aluminum body and internal components are made to withstand shock, vibration and impact, with the whole package weighing 4 ounces. The ContourHD ships with Easy Edit software that supports both Mac OS X and Windows PCs and makes uploading and editing videos easier. The ContourHD will be available in May, priced at $300.
