Panasonic HS350 HD Camcorder comes packed with a 240GB HDD, which offers enough space for storing up to 100 hours of HD video recorded at 1440×1080 pixel resolution and 6 Mbps and up to 31 hours and 40 minutes of high-definition recordings at 1920 x 1080 pixels and 17Mbps.
However, that’s not the only medium on which Panasonic’s new camera can record. In fact, the camcorder also supports SDHC memory cards with capacities of up to 32GB, thus further extending its level of versatility. Plus, the camcorder offers a wide array of video recording customization options, including white balance adjustment and automatic tracking.
The device comes equipped with a 10.6-megapixel 3MOS sensor, which is able to record a total of 6,210,000 (2,070,000 x 3) pixels in video mode, 16:9 image ratio. Furthermore, it sports an 120X zoom, as well as a 5.1-channel microphone, plus an advanced image stabilizing system and Follow Focus, a feature that allows the camera to focus using moving object.
The camcorder measures 71 x 73 x 141mm and weighs around 530g grams, including the rechargeable battery. Panasonic launches the system in Japan first, shipping it on July 25th for a predicted price of about $1,591; a US release is very likely but hasn’t been mentioned.
