NASA X-37 stands for a final project on a massive testing by NASA, the U.S. space agency: it is a sort of Mini Shuttle with no windows because they do not carry men, but only load.
NASA X-37 small robot will be the new space shuttle that the U.S. Air Force has declared ready to fly April 19 next for the first orbital flight. In the gallery you can see some 3D rendering of the medium as well as a photo of the test model X-40 used in the tests.
X-37 is one of the most concrete and practical projects at NASA, which could be used mainly for freight, food and equipment from Earth since the International Space Station or ISS, the International Space Station. It was created by the giant Boeing and before moving to NASA is also passed into the hands of military bodies.
The mini shuttle will be launched into orbit, stop for a certain period and then return to Earth in a completely autonomous, and indeed flights within the atmosphere have already been several, using shore for the stratosphere’s award-winning “White Knight used to transport the X-Prize winner SpaceShipOne. Some tests, however, is wrong.
But now everything seems fixed and X-37 is already in Florida where it will be mounted on an Atlas V rocket that will launch in April in orbit. We do not know anything yet about time spent on tests or any other business. X-37 measuring 2 x 1.2 meters.
