The manufacturer Transcend has announced the launch of a new series of SSD called SSD25D. With a SATA II interface and flash memory chips MLC SSD these are 2.5 inch format. They should be available in capacities of 60 and 120 GB.
These SSD display according to the manufacturer speeds of reading and writing respectively 230 Mb / s and 180 Mb / s. In view of these performances, and the presence of 64 MB of cache, it is reasonable to assume that Transcend uses in the SSD controller Indilinx. The price and date of availability of these DSS are currently unknown.
